Thank you for agreeing to be a CHANGE Campus Advisor. Each student application must be accompanied with an advisor's recommendation to be considered for review. Applications need to be submitted by April 1, 2008. Extensions may be granted for extenuating circumstances. Please direct questions and comments to Nessa Stoltzfus at 1-800-77-OXFAM ext. 2464 or email change@oxfamamerica.org.
The CHANGE Initiative is a highly competitive national program that trains college students to become actively engaged in Oxfam America's social justice mission. CHANGE develops capable and confident young leaders, who are informed and active voices for positive social change, and who inspire greater global awareness in others.
Students are brought together for one week of intensive leadership training that will equip them to advocate effectively for social change. They will be introduced to social justice issues directly related to Oxfam America's mission, and will be asked to work on one or more issues on their campuses during the academic year. (See list of issues at www.oxfamamerica.org/change) Oxfam assumes the cost of training, room, board and travel.
Students will be assisted throughout the year by their campus advisors and the Oxfam Outreach Staff. Together we can create a more just and equitable world.
If you have any problems with this system or questions about the application process, please email change@oxfamamerica.org.
