The CHANGE Initiative is a highly competitive national program that trains college students to become actively engaged in Oxfam America's social justice mission. CHANGE develops capable leaders who are informed voices for positive social change, and who inspire greater global awareness in others.
CHANGE Leaders' commitment to making a difference often goes far beyond the one-year program. They have attended meetings of the World Trade Organization and the G8 leaders, spoken at the United Nations Youth Assembly, and founded two independent national student organizations-- to name just a few accomplishments.
"After CHANGE, I can't imagine having a life that did not involve working for social justice," says 2006 CHANGE Leader Jennifer Wallin.
